Alpha Resource Center, Christian Family Solutions (WLCFS) and Tomorrow’s Choice are working together to raise funds and support primary ministry areas that relate to the sanctity of life, mental health counseling, and senior care services. We determined one more effective way to do this is through resale stores.
The name Blue Butterfly was chosen because, first and foremost, the butterfly symbolizes the grace we all have received through the resurrection of Jesus Christ. The blue butterfly represents life, joy, change and hope. At Blue Butterfly Thrift Stores, we want to develop a positive warm environment working with volunteers and helping others know and understand more about the gospel.
We are asking for the support of our area congregations and community to help us with the overall need for volunteers to be part of an ongoing volunteer effort and donations at either store.
Here are some of the many volunteer opportunities:
• Leading volunteers
• Helping unload drive-up donations
• Sorting items
• Clerking (bagging, straightening, customer service)
• Building maintenance
• Store cleaning/seasonal decoration - interior and exterior
• Working from home (fixing items, sorting and pricing jewelry, checking toys and limited electronics, etc.)
We accept item donations at the stores. We would also greatly appreciate monetary donations to help us with costs of operating the store and supporting ministry. We are currently accepting monetary gifts through PayPal at alphalifecenter.org/paypal.
